D & N Reinforcements offer ‘labour only’ or ‘supply and fix’ contracts on the three trades of Steel Fixing, Formwork, and Concrete Placement and Finishing. We are also able to provide bespoke individual packages.
We are experienced, honest and professional in all our commissions. We always work to the high standards that our regular clients have come to expect. All work is carried out with rigorous adherence to health and safety standards.
From the tender stage to completion of works, our clients can expect a professional and reliable service. We pride ourselves on meeting targets and following programmes, to come in on time and within budget.
Most of our work is in Teesside, North and South Yorkshire and County Durham. We are also happy to tender for commissions across the UK and overseas.

Services
Steel Fixing
We have a wealth of experience in steel fixing. This work includes:
- Tying steel reinforcement bars (rebar) to build cages
- Using rebar to build special casts to keep setting concrete in place
- Following detailed engineering drawings
- Attaching ‘spacers’ and ‘chairs’ to determine the amount of concrete cover
Formwork Joinery
All formwork joinery can be undertaken, including:
- Building moulds to retain wet concrete in the construction of foundations and other concrete constructions
- Inspecting the formwork for imperfections or potential problem spots before concrete is poured
- Shuttering to accommodate any situation, ranging from pillars and columns to beams and odd or unusual shapes
Concrete Placement & Finishing
All types of concrete placement and finishing work can be undertaken as follows:
- Consolidation: compacting fresh concrete to mould it within the forms and around embedded items and reinforcement
- Eliminate stone pockets, honeycomb, and trapped air
- Jointing and Floating
- Finishing options include various colours and textures, such as exposed aggregate or a patterned-stamped surface
